Moab - mecca of 4x4 wheeling!

For anyone who loves adventure wheeling, stunning natural vistas and the desert, this is the place to visit. Moab's famous slick rock formations provide a unique and exhilarating terrain, offering an exciting mix of steep climbs, sharp descents, and hairpin turns.

Whether you just acquired your new 4x4 rig or a seasoned off-roader, this place has something to offer for everyone. This was my second trip to Moab but this time instead of self powered (click here for that story), we brought our 4x4 rig, the Land Rover Defender 110.

This wasn't an all-out overlanding trip, but mostly focused on exploring few easy (Shaffer Switchbacks) and moderate (Fins & Things) trails based out of downtown Moab. So here you go...

Enroute to Moab, on Bonneville Salt Flats.
Ocean of slick rock.
Can't call it desert without fair share of wheeling on sand.
One of many steep rock faces (top left) you will need to navigate!
The Land Rover Terrain Response, one of the best in the business!
Down in the canyon, just before the entrance to White Rim Trail (someday).
Sunsets never get boring, still makes my heart pumping!
On our way back, something of historical significance : the making of I-70.
Road trips are also about knowing tales from the past.
